It is difficult to understand
how anyone could have abandoned such a sweet adorable cocker, but
that is exactly what happened to Floyd. Fortunately, the kind,
caring ACO found him wandering aimlessly on that cold December day
and she took him to the nice, warm town shelter where he was bathed,
groomed and cuddled.
What makes this situation even
more difficult to understand is that Floyd has lost vision in both
eyes and could have easily wandered out into a busy street. He has
been thoroughly examined by a vet and has been diagnosed with "dry
eye" - he is now on Cyclosporine eye drops twice a day and will need
this medication for the rest of his life.
This really adorable approx. 7
year old is a happy, happy cocker boy. He likes all people, loves
to have his belly rubbed, and he is fine with other dogs. Despite
his loss of vision he quickly adapts to a new environment.
