Joey is definitely becoming less timid and fearful and he's much
improved around the men he knows. He loves his foster mom and now
warms up much quicker to the people he meets frequently.
He's a very sweet boy.
Joey: This small, very adorable cocker boy
was left in his crate and abandoned outside the door of the
animal shelter. The Animal Control Officer found him the
next morning huddled in the back of his crate, terrified and
shaking. She took him to her home and soon learned that
Joey (aka Jo-Jo) was hand shy and very afraid of men. However,
he quickly warms up to women and likes her children.
He passed the shelter temperament test with
flying colors. Joey's Cocker Rescue Foster Mom says he's a
sweet, sweet boy who wants to be right next to her or cuddle on
her lap but he is terrified of his foster Dad. We hope
that given daily non-threatening experiences with a man that he
will learn in time to trust other men.
Joey is approximately 3-4 years old, very
healthy, likes other dogs, chases cats and is completely
housebroken. He needs a calm, structured environment where he
can learn that life is not scary and that most people are kind.
