UPDATE:
Mocha has had a number of ups and
downs over the last few months. He had a sudden and unusual
problem with a vertebrae in his neck and was in severe pain.
After numerous x-rays, blood work and ultrasounds, it was
determined that if anti-inflammatory did not decrease his pain,
he would need an MRI. The vets felt that he could have
developed a tumor in his spine.
Well, Mocha being Mocha, decided he
didn't want to continue with having to see all these vets and
recovered with time, the medications and plenty of rest! I am
sure that it was in part to him realizing that he would have to
be left at the vet and Mocha doesn't deal well with anything out
of the ordinary. He wants his bed, his TV, his buddy
Stewart and his special birdie toy and that was that!

Mocha's sponsors who have allowed him to stay in his foster home
where he is comfortable and happy. Without your help, this
would not be possible and after all the suffering this little
guy went through in the beginning of his life, our hope is to
give him happiness for his remaining years.
Mocha is 8 years old and afraid of
his own shadow. He is one of the Deerfield puppy mill dogs that
were rescued in 2001 from deplorable conditions. After being
confined to a crate his whole life, he is still having a problem
with housebreaking. He has become more tolerant of other dogs
around him and he is easily frightened, especially of people.
He does not like being on a leash but is very comfortable in a
fenced yard. Mocha cannot deal with change and gets frantic
when put in any new situation. He would love to have sponsors
to allow him to "stay put" in his current foster situation where
he is calm and content.
