We’ve always
suspected that it was Murphy’s love of barking that landed him in a
Manchester NH McDonald’s parking lot for several weeks until CSRNE
took him in. It didn’t seem as though he’d spent much time indoors,
but he quickly adjusted to the comforts of a soft bed and lots of
stuffed, furry “babies.”
One of our fondest
memories of Murphy is of watching him chasing the jets that flew
over our backyard. He’d tear across the (fenced, of course) yard,
ears flying and barking joyfully. Though he loved all of us, his
heart was reserved for Dennis. Murphy and Dennis were best buds
whether they were watching sports together, changing the oil in the
car, working in the office and in the yard, or running errands on
weekends (and stopping at Dunkin Donuts for Dennis’ coffee and
Murphy’s Munchkin). He will be much missed. We’ll meet you at the
Rainbow Bridge, Murphy!
