CSRNE is looking for creative people to join The Friends of
CSRNE
- a new volunteer support group that will help raise funds and increase
community awareness about CSRNE and our mission to rescue abandoned and
unwanted cocker spaniels, provide them the veterinary care they need,
and place them in their "forever homes".
The Friends of CSRNE will meet once a month to help organize and staff
existing fund raising projects and to plan much needed new fundraising
events.
Current fundraisers include:
· Annual auction
·
Yard and craft sales
· Calendars
· Holiday wreath sales
·
Photos with Santa
· Catering lunches for obedience and agility events
·
On-line auctions
· Pet adoption days at PetCo or PetSmart stores
What is the money used for?
The money raised from fundraising events goes to help
CSRNE provide
the best possible care for the many needy, homeless cockers who rely on
us. The Joey Fund, which provides medical care for cockers with injuries
or health problems, is one of our most important funds, and the one which
will benefit the most from the money raised by The Friends of CSRNE.
Join Us!
If you love cocker spaniels, want to help homeless cockers in need and
like being part of fun events, then consider joining The Friends of CSRNE.
There are several ways you can become involved. You can be a volunteer
at one or more of our fundraisers or you can become a member of the organizational
team. The Friends planning committee will meet once a month to help organize
and expand current fundraisers and plan new ones throughout the year.
We're always looking for people to help manage or work at events. Volunteers,
who are not interested in organizing events but would like to participate,
are welcome to attend the monthly meetings and share their input.
So, if you have time, would like to work with
CSRNE volunteers and meet
the public, please join The Friends of CSRNE team. Volunteers are needed in all areas of Massachusetts (including Cape Cod and the
Islands), New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
